How Urbee collects, uses, shares and protects your information across our website, the Urbee Home Services app and Urbee Workforze.

1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Urbee Home Services Private Limited ("Urbee", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your information across our website (urbee.in), the Urbee Home Services app, and the Urbee Workforze platform. By using any of these, you agree to this policy.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account & contact details — name, phone number, email, and address.
• Booking details — the service requested, job location, photos you upload, and preferred timing.
• Payment details — processed securely by our payment partner (Razorpay). We do not store full card numbers.
• Ratings & reviews you submit.
• Service partner / worker data — for professionals and workers: identity and KYC documents, Aadhaar-based verification (see our Aadhaar Privacy Policy), bank/UPI details for payouts, photographs, skills and work history.

Information we collect automatically

• Location — approximate or precise location to match you with nearby professionals and, on Workforze, to record geofenced site attendance. You control location permissions in your device settings.
• Device & usage data — device type, app version, and how you use the service.
• Cookies on our website for analytics (see section 8).

3. How we use your information

• To provide, match and fulfil the services you request.
• To verify the identity of service partners and workers so you can hire with confidence.
• To process payments, payslips and payouts.
• To record attendance and run payroll on Urbee Workforze.
• To provide customer support and send booking-related communications.
• To keep the platform safe and prevent fraud or misuse.
• To improve our services and comply with applicable law.

4. Consent and your choices

We process your information based on your consent and to perform the services you ask for, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law. You can withdraw consent or delete your account at any time (see section 7); some data may be retained where the law requires it.

5. When we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed:

• With the professional or worker fulfilling your booking, so they can reach the job. Contact numbers are shared only after a job is accepted.
• With identity-verification partners to complete KYC.
• With Razorpay to process payments and payouts.
• With companies and subcontractors on Workforze, only for the projects a worker is engaged on.
• With law enforcement or regulators where required by law.
• With service providers (e.g. cloud hosting) who process data for us under confidentiality obligations.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to provide services, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. When no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

You may request to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by writing to urbeehelpcentre@gmail.com. To delete your account, email us or use the in-app option where available. We will respond within a reasonable time.

8. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and improve the experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and other safeguards to protect your data. No method of transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our practices regularly.

10. Children

Urbee is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the latest version, and material changes will be notified through our apps or website.
